When installing Ubuntu for projects or production servers, I suggest using the LTS versions because you will have support for many more years than with a non-LTS support. Once you have burned your disc or mounted your ISO, the install and configuration is pretty much the same. We’ll install Ubuntu, update it, and set a static IP!
