While I’m waiting for the roof to be fixed (should know in the next couple of days with the rain we’re supposed to get) I am making different types of non-configuration videos. I’m sure many of you are familiar with the Ideal Adjustable Blade Ringer. If you’re not and you run CAT5/6 or make patch cables it is an invaluable tool for cutting the sheath of the cabling. Here is a quick video I made that talks about one of the most cherished tools in my structured cabling arsenal. This tool will save you time and frustration when removing the PVC jacket (outer core) of CAT5/6 cabling. It makes a clean cut quickly when calibrated properly and leaves the conductors unharmed.
