Ubiquiti Networks EdgeMAX EdgeOS v1.9 has been released!
I didn’t get very far (if at all) with my 1.8.5 video series and this gem has now been released.
We upgrade one of my lab EdgeRouter X routers to v1.9 and look at the new Wizards.
They have included a Wizard for turning the device into a Layer 2 Switch! I guess I’m going to have to rethink using another brand’s 8 port layer two switch now!
Most of my deployments don’t really need all 8 ports, but the device is economical. The EdgeRouter X is more economical!
I also go over the commit-confirm command and how it can save your bacon when you’re working on a device remotely.
