How do you classify IoT devices? We classify them in one of three ways:

1. Totally dependent on the cloud or a command and control server. No real local control.
2. Hybrid – Can be locally controlled OR use a command and control server.
3. No command and control server with total local control.

You need to evaluate the risks and use of each type of device before deciding where to put it in the network and how to build rules around it! Contact us for help!
