Do NOT expose unneccessary ports and services on your network to the Internet. It’s not secure and bad practice. If you have the proper security protocols in place it can be utlitized but many people don’t use best practice. If you have a need for remote desktop (RDP) – just stick it behind a VPN and make sure it’s safe.
