Thank you to EnGenius for sending over the ECS5512F for us to try out. I’m going to tell you that I like the feature set to price ratio. This switch comes in under $1,000 USD and provides 12SFP+ ports and L2+ (static routing) capability. I was comparing it because of it’s physical setup to the Netgear M4300 but the M4300 can do full L3 routing. However — for the price we’re going to see if this switch works and if we can recommend it. I’ll be running it in the lab and we’ll circle back in April to see if I can give this the Willie Howe seal of approval for use! In the meantime let’s jump in and take a look at the interface!
